How it works
Bank, credit card or payment-app statement. Text PDFs convert in about a second; scanned pages go through OCR on your device.
Every row is checked against the running balance when the statement has one, so you can see straight away if anything is off.
Excel with a Transactions sheet and a monthly Summary sheet, or a UTF-8 CSV that opens cleanly in Excel, Google Sheets, Xero or QuickBooks imports.
Private by design
Most converters upload your statement to their servers. CleanStatement doesn't. The PDF is read by code running in your browser tab, and the spreadsheet is built there too. We have no server that receives your file, so there's nothing to store, leak or delete. Close the tab and it's gone. Read the privacy note.

FAQ
Is my statement uploaded anywhere?
No. The PDF is opened and converted inside your browser. Only the converter code (and, for scanned pages, the OCR engine and language files) is downloaded to your device. Your document is not sent to us.
Which banks are supported?
The converter reads the table layout rather than relying on a fixed list of banks. Every release is tested against statement layouts like Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, American Express, Capital One, HSBC UK, Barclays, Revolut, Wise, ICBC, China Merchants Bank and Bank of China, plus Alipay and WeChat Pay transaction exports. That covers separate Money in / Money out columns, signed amounts, CR/DR markers, negatives in parentheses, descriptions that wrap over several lines, dates shown once per day, and tables that run over many pages. If your layout doesn't convert well, Pro users get priority fixes. CleanStatement is not affiliated with any bank.
Does it work with scanned statements or phone photos saved as PDF?
Yes, in beta. Pages without a text layer are run through OCR on your device. Clear, straight scans work best; always review the balance check before using the numbers.
What about password-protected PDFs?
You'll be asked for the password. It's used only in your browser to open the file.
How is money in vs. money out decided?
From the statement's own columns, signs, CR/DR markers or 收/支 labels, cross-checked against the running balance. On credit-card statements, purchases show as money out and payments/refunds as money in.
